Snowflower and the Secret Fan
I recently had the pleasure of doing make-up for the beautiful Wendi Murdoch and Lucy Page (wife of Larry Page — CEO of Google). Wendi is the co-producer of the movie “Snowflower and the Secret Fan” (based on the novel by Lisa See) and was in town for the San Francisco premiere! After hearing that I read and LOVED the book, Wendi was sweet enough to offer me a ticket AND car service to the premiere!! Too bad I had to rush back for another client.. But seriously, how awesome would that have been?!
Both ladies were complete dolls and it wasn’t tough to glam them up at all. ;)
hello summer solstice..
being that there’s more sunlight today than any other day of the year, it’s more important than ever to make sure you have that sun protection! Here are some of my FAVORITES — full spectrum UVA/UVB protection, oil-free, non-greasy, and absorbs quickly into your skin!
Natural Protector from Amore Pacific. My staple, everyday, go-to product! I’ve been using it for YEARS and it smells heavenly.
Sun Guard Suncreen from Jack Black. My recent discovery! It’s especially great for active lifestyles. Don’t be fooled by the “geared towards men” brand, it’s great for all genders! I like to wear it on the back of my hands (trying to keep them soft and safe from sunspots!). I love it so much, I even bought it for my beau. ;)
I religiously wear sunscreen everyday, regardless of location and weather. There’s no better way to protect that pretty face from those harmful rays! It helps to prevent skin from developing wrinkles (looking older, faster) and usually acts as an added moisturizer (once again, helping prevent wrinkles=looking old!!).

To say that I’ve been a little obsessed with fresh flowers isn’t exactly an exaggeration.. it’s a fact.
Working so many weddings a year has definitely added fuel to my fire of burning, flower love. ha. I’m constantly surrounded by huge, beautiful assortments of FLOWERS! I seriously just can’t get enough!
Luckily for me, PEONIES (my absolute favorite flower of all time) are now in season!

Sony Playstation was nice enough to send me to La-la land for a week to work the exclusive E3 — Electronics Entertainment Expo. I even got my little hands on a coveted all-access badge (bc i’m obviously an industry peep.. right?).. I had complete access to all games and gaming devices — months before their release! Too bad the only game I know how to play is Duck Hunt.. thanks dad! ha.
Besides doing make-up every day for the four fabulous hosts covering the week-long event, I had fun geeking out like there was no tomorrow. Oh maaan, I wish I was a gamer.
Oh.. the tough life of a make-up artist. Where will it take me to next? ;)
